Homepage

Management of “enrolled” icon on the mini-services on the homepage

It is now possible to also have the “enrolled” icon on the mini-services on the homepage.  The icon is by default reserved for virtual courses but it is also possible to activate it on all types of courses (in course template options).

Management of featured content and reviews on the homepage

The possibility to display the featured content icon and the reviews icon on the homepage, in the course list (mini-services), has been added.

“Location” added on mini-services

The possibility to display a defined location on a group on a course on which one is enrolled has been added on mini-service (homepage).

“Estimated duration” added on mini-services

The possibility to display the estimated duration of a course on mini-service (homepage) has been added.

Time slots zones (2) and time slots (2) added on the mini-services

This function can be useful if we want to specify precise schedules.  Example: Schedule 08:00-12:00/14:00-17:30

Choice of the order of the elements in the homepage options

The order of the elements in STY_entoureItmMiniServ is configurable in the homepage options.
1= status div, 2= featured content 3= reviews div, 4= thumbnail image, 5=type div, 6= course title, 7= description, 8= virtual courses’ dates div, 9= estimated duration div, a= time zones div

Course

Display of the dates of virtual courses on the homepage

A new option has been added in the properties of the homepage “Display dates of virtual courses” to display the start and end dates on virtual courses where the user is enrolled where these dates (start AND end) have been specified.

Display of the number of remaining seats

New objects, remaining seats zone and remaining seats, are now available on the group template, which allows the display of remaining seats on the sessions.

“Reviews zone” and “Success status zone” added

An object “Reviews zone” on the templates of course, course (thumbnail), resource, resource (thumbnail) has been added.

This function will be useful if we want to specify precise schedules.  For example: 08:00-12:00/14:00-17:30

An option to display he success status only if there is a score

A new option “if score” is available in the properties of the homepage.  If checked, the success status is only displayed if there is a score.

Timeline view on virtual courses (via the xmlhttp service)

An aspx file has been added to allow a timeline view on virtual courses of the next X days.  To be integrated in the interface via an XmlHttp service.

Catalogue

The title link directly opens the folder

After a click on the title link of a catalogue the folder is directly opened instead of displaying the contextual menu

Curriculum

New curriculum (header) view


A new option to display a header template on the curricula displayed in a list has been added.  The header is a new template in the interface editor: we can insert diverse elements in it such as image, video, text, etc. as well as predefined objects such as curriculum title, description, difficulty, estimated duration, reviews and actions such as see review details, give a review, enrol.

 

If on the curriculum there is a rule “Allow self-enrolment” or “Request authorisation from” then when we open the curriculum we see the list of courses of the curriculum with their description (without being able to enter the courses) and we can add an enrolment button to enrol in the curriculum.

It is possible to add a video named _teaser_.mp4 in the curriculum that will then be displayed in the teaser zone of the template.

It is also possible to add a document named _description_.pdf in the curriculum that will activate a link, “training details”.

Forum

Forum subject and message deletion


Until now, the functioning was as follows:

  • If I am the author of a subject I can delete it (even if there are messages in it)
  • If I am the author of a message in a subject I cannot delete it (though the service description says we can)

From now on, the functioning is as follows:

  • If I am the author of a subject and there are no messages in it then I can delete the subject
  • I am the author of a message in a subject then I can delete the message

Improvements

A style option “IE10 compatibility mode” added

If we check the option, the IE7 compatibility mode is disabled and we add the IE10 mode in the index.html file when the author visualises the course (or the course is visualised outside of the LMS) mode IE10 is enabled (required to benefit from, for example, the HTML5 player).

Catalogue

Clickable catalogue tree view

We can have a tree view of the catalogue instead of the title of the current folder (put the value True in folderPathInCatalog in the global parameters).  In that case, the different folder titles are clickable to easily browse the catalogue.

Course

Management of the display of mobile courses

It is now possible to create a course property (code = isMobileCompliant).  If this property is applied on the course (with the value True) then an icon (to be defined in the interface on the services and mini-service) indicating that it’s a mobile-compliant course is displayed.

It is also possible to add a service on the interface to list all the mobile-compliant courses.

In addition, a new interface option “Filter the mobile courses” has been added.  If the option is checked then only the courses where the property isMobileCompliant is true are displayed on mobile.

Management of the attendance validation

On the virtual courses, when the participants are displayed there is a button “Validate the attendance”.  The button is also available for the tutors if the group option “The tutors can modify the results” is checked.

The selected users can then be set to completed or completed-passed according to the button that is clicked on.

Dashboard

Improvement of the tracking of time spent on the dashboard “Access to courses”

With the new dashboard of access to courses (enabled if in the advanced configuration the value true is in showNewCourseAccessLog) the time spent is logged.

But, without any action from the user 60 seconds at most was logged so if there were 3 minutes remaining on a page there were 60 seconds of time spent.

This limit has now been removed.

User profile

Auto-filling of profile creation form fields

The possibility to have certain fields auto-filled has been added.  This means that when typing the beginning of a text suggestions are displayed.

This functionality requires a specific script to be adapted according to the needs in order to specify which field is completed with which suggestions.

10 optional fields added on the profile templates

On the “new profile”, “anonymous login” and “profile modification” templates 10 additional optional fields have been added in order to avoid having to add them manually in the file if more than 10 optional fields are configured on the platform.

Management of time slots in the notifications

New variables available in the notifications:

TIME_RANGE_START_TIME1, TIME_RANGE_END_TIME1, TIME_RANGE_START_TIME2, TIME_RANGE_END_TIME2

Rules

Rule with date based on the value of an optional field

Rules on dates: it is now possible to compare to a date stored in an optional field of the profile.

For example: Allow access if current date is later than opt4 (and opt4 contsins 2017-05-12T09:00) …is later than opt4+30 …is later than opt4-30

Export

CSV export: the columns title, catalogue and deactivated have been added

Management of the group ID parameter in fct openCourseLMS

Possibility to use the code of a group as a parameter in the function openCourseLMS in order to specify the targeted group (useful for multiple enrolments).

For Managers/Tutors

Management of coaching courses by the manager

Improvement of the management of coaching courses by the manager

Possibility to specify a manager authorized to create the sessions in the properties of the course.  The manager can then create the groups on the coaching course and enrol the members of his/her team.

New global parameter “mgrCanCreateCoachingCourse” -> if the value is true the managers can then create the coaching courses and add the sessions

Evolutions of the HTML5 player

Style of the player

  • Full screen/normal size, volume/mute buttons added
  • Non-clickable gauge added (allows to visually differentiate a clickable gauge from a non-clickable gauge)
  • Auto-playback bar zone added -> is automatically located under the media.  This means that on a responsive video the playback bar will reposition itself and resize itself automatically in accordance to the size of the video

The progress bar (defined in the style) becomes clickable (unless the video has been configured for it not to be)

By default, the progress bar is clickable:

  • All the time if the next page button is not disabled
  • Once the video has been viewed, if the next page button is disabled

Possibility to save the information that the video has been viewed.

If the next page button is disabled it will be enabled at the end of the video -> the user must view the whole video to go to the next page.  But, if the tracking is enabled on the video, when the learner comes back to the page, the next button is immediately enabled and the progress bar clickable to freely forward the video.
